New York City – May 22nd, 2006 – Summer 2006 will mark the 25th Anniversary of the legendary Tommy Boy label as well as the release of the fifth DVD in a series of five Kung Faux DVD “Volumes” from Dubtitled Entertainment & Tommy Boy Films.
Kung Faux on TV is a half hour hip-hop flavored, action, & comedy, television series that originally aired on the “FUSE” channel in the USA, but has since migrated to the “Starz/Encore” group as part of a major network re-branding campaign for the American cable conglomerate, while also spreading out to dozens of international channels around the world like Bravo, IFC, Showcase, Musique Plus, & Channel V through such leading television networks as Alliance Atlantis and Chum ( Canada ), Canal Plus( Scandinavia ), CanWest & Star ( Asia ), Sky & MediaPark ( Europe ), & Fox ( Italy & Latin America ).

Kung Faux can be described as a “Remix” of classic kung fu films, video game flavors, anime inspired special fx , manga style comic books, and hit music with voiceovers from some of this and past generations most influential personalities and pop culture icons.

of Kung Faux that culminate with their scheduled release this Summer 2006
have been co-branded as “BentoBox.TV” due to their artfully
boxed TV style mix of measured portioned servings of episodes from the
Kung Faux TV series alongside a variety of pop culture flavored tidbits
ranging from music videos from top international hip hop artists like
“Petter” (Sweden), “Scribe” (New Zealand), “Curse”&
“Gentleman” (Germany), to rarely seen video game promos &
movie trailers, as well as
a special “karaoke” game feature function that allows viewers
to perform their own live dialogue to original Kung Faux clips for dessert.

July 11th, 2006 marks the official release date of the “Kung Faux: Volume 5” DVD following the “BentoBox.TV” co-branded releases of “Volumes: 1, 2, 3, & 4” this Spring from Dubtitled Entertainment & Tommy Boy Films, and this month marks the debut of a dedicated Kung Faux “Channel” on the highly trafficked pop culture fueled entertainment website known as “Heavy”. This month also marks
the completion of a hypo-collabo with “Kung Faux” and the
hot as hot can be musical acts “Gnarls Barkley” ( CeeLo &
DangerMouse ), “Eagles of Death Metal” (Josh Homme from Queens

UK sensation “Art Brut”, for a short film commissioned by

“Kung Faux” has also collaborated with some of today’s hottest graphic artists to create exclusive cover art for each DVD featuring illustrated renderings of the two main title characters from each of the enclosed “Kung Faux” episodes on the front of the box, and a signature “Girl Guardian” on the back of the box, as interpreted from actual photos of the “Girl Guardians” enclosed in each DVD. “Kung Faux” trivia includes the fact that Kung Faux creator,
Michael “Mic” Neumann, cast many prominent voice over actors
into the roster of video games powerhouse, Rock-
Star Games, and two of the Kung Faux “Girl Guardians” include
the now infamous “Jade” from this season’s “America’s
Next Top Model”, and the current co-host of “BET Style”,
and reigning hip hop honey magazine cover girl, Melyssa Ford, in anticipation
